Finding Your Voice
Finding Your Voice
About the class
In the most pivotal moments in our lives we rely on speech and body language to express ourselves effectively. We get by ok in ordinary conversation but there are times for most of us when we need to be able to use our voices to present ourselves powerfully.
Most of us are better equipped vocally than we know. Often unconscious habits get in the way. This workshop will show you simply and practically what is going wrong - and how to put it right. It’s not just professional actors or politicians who benefit, you also will be more confident and successful by presenting well in your professional context.
What you’ll learn and do
- discover how to use your voice freely, powerfully and with pleasure
- use deep, free inhalation and exhalation for greater expression
- practice your resonant voice
- enhance your ability to express yourself
- practice simple acting skills to demonstrate wit, charm, assertion and eloquence as the situation demands
